Welcome

Following the example of our friend and brother in Christ, Bob Hommel, a couple of us thought that it would be good to create this blog, where we could share inspirational thoughts and be edified and strengthened in our Lord Jesus Christ

The Bible says, "Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sins that easily entangles, and let us run with perseverance the race marked for us. Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith” Hebrews 12:1-2

We pray that this blog will bless you as a place where we fellowship together and are encouraged in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Excuse me sir, are you saved?

Scriptures:
"How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!" (Isaiah 52:7 & Romans 10:15)

As you all know, my wife and I have been focusing on what faith and healing mean because tomorrow she is scheduled for surgery to remove her gall bladder. On the one hand, we believe that God's Word is the truth and we are starting to learn how to "grow" our faith by reading, meditating and praying through the healing scriptures in the Bible. I am also continuing to read and study about others who have been healed or are ministering in a faith healing ministry, on the Internet.

I have been considering what the scriptures say about how healing is used to reach others for Christ and how when Christ died on the cross, he not only healed our sinful nature so that we could become His children and inherit eternal life, but also how "by his stripes we are healed."

In any event, last night, while reading articles and watching video clips about evangelism, I found the following testimony about a man in Sydney, Austrailia, who witnessed for Christ all his life, which I want to share with you. There are three ways to view/read this testimony at this URL. Just click it and you will see the options on the page.

Prayer Request:
That God will continue to heal Jackie and in the process teach us to know what He has told us in His Word we already have through Christ, and that we all would continuely be faithful in witnessing the Good News of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Prayer:
Dear Lord, You have given us so much, and everyday we learn a little more about the abundant life you have already given to us in Christ. Thank you so much for dying on the cross for us.

Hi Bruce, thank you for sharing such an amazing and inspirational story with us. It made me re-think what's important in the eyes of our Lord. Is it the task itself? Or is it the faithfulness behind it? Is it the outward appearance or is it the heart loving God and loving this lost generation? mmmm....
